Admissions and What to Expect

Admissions begins with a conversation about what is going on and what help you need. We can discuss a clinical assessment, review your insurance or payment options, and consider residential care, PHP, IOP, or a detox referral. The goal is to find a safe starting point.

What happens when you reach out?

Tell us what you can about alcohol or drug use, mental health concerns, and anything that makes treatment urgent. You can also explain work or family responsibilities that affect planning. We will talk through options and what information is needed for an assessment.

How is the level of care decided?

A clinical assessment helps determine whether residential care, PHP, or IOP may fit. Some people need medically supervised withdrawal first. TRC does not provide detox on site, but works with partners to arrange placement within 24 hours when appropriate and available. Compare the care options.

When do you review insurance and cost?

Ask for a benefits review before committing to treatment. Coverage depends on the exact plan, network, authorization, deductible, and level of care. TRC also discusses personal payment. See how insurance and payment work.

What if TRC cannot serve you?

TRC does not accept Medicaid. We can help someone seeking Medicaid-funded treatment explore a nearby American Fork facility that does. If another medical or psychiatric setting is needed, admissions can discuss a suitable referral rather than treating every inquiry as a fit.

What happens on the first day?

The exact arrival routine can vary. Ask admissions what to bring, how the first day is organized, and how family contact works. We will add a detailed first-day guide once the current process is finalized.

Questions people ask

Do I need to know which program I want?

No. An assessment can help identify an appropriate level of care.

Can you help if I need detox?

TRC does not provide detox on site. The team works with partner facilities to arrange placement when needed.

Can my insurance be checked before I decide?

Yes. Ask admissions to review your specific plan and discuss your likely out-of-pocket cost.
